Amended licences issued by Ofcom

Following Ofcom’s decision to make changes to the amateur licence they have been emailing out new licences and a covering letter. This seems to be on a slow burn as emails appear to have been going out over at least a 6 week period. Slightly confusingly the emails say the change is “in response to your recent request”. There are a number of changes to the licence layout. Both CEPT licence class and mailing address have been removed. There are also changes to the reciprocal licensing text. The most significant change is that RSLs are no longer required but “can” be used.
