BBRC Operating Awards

For many years the BBRC has had a series of operating awards for club members. The rules for the current three awards below have been updated to include new modes etc. The idea is to get you operating and using all that equipment in your shack. There are various awards available to suit all licence types, and bands, so they are certainly within all members capability, for  instance there are seven DXCC countries within the UK. Requirements are only log extracts, QSL confirmation are not required. However, some sort of paper trail could be useful if the contact is an odd callsign etc. The start date for contacts has been changed to the year 2000, so calls already in your logbook could be valid.

What do you get for all your hard operating? “Introductory” awards will give you a certificate to adorn your shack wall. “Full” awards will get you a certificate and a BBRC Mug*. Your achievement will also be marked in the award section of the club website. These awards are for members only.

If you keep a logbook then looking back through the pages may give you enough QSO’s  for an award.

All awards claims should be directed to G4XDU at amsat dot org and should include the award you are claiming and a text readable file of the contacts made.

Good luck and good operating.
