FT8 receiver with open-source silicon
RadioStack have designed the Maverick-603 SDR, a low power (33 mW) FT8 receiver board covering 7-70 MHz. The RF receiver chip was designed with open source chip-design tools and fabrication. The Maverick-603 board includes an LNA, an ADC as well as bandpass filtering and a GFSK demodulator.
It isn’t yet clear how the receiver will connect to the host computer, as there are both SPI and USB interfaces. In any case, you can’t buy one just yet. You can see basic details on the receiver and register your interest on the crowd-funding website CrowdSupply. There is also a little more detail on the efabless website.
