Uri, G0BBB, awarded for Services to DX Picnickers

The BBRC Committee recently decided to give a special Lifetime Achievement Award to Uri, G0BBB, for Service to DX Picnickers. Uri has generously hosted BBRC DX Picnics for many years and of course even enabled the club to have Covid safe get togethers this year. In addition to a certificate Uri was given a compact drone that was under the limit for mandatory CAA registration.

In addition to hosting the club’s DX Picnics Uri also very generously sponsored the club’s production of Covid face shield PPE for health and care workers.

Trevor presented a certificate and the drone to Uri while in a care-giving Covid-19 bubble. Uri has promised not to try flying the drone over his pond until he’s fully experienced!
